Royal Enfield UCE500 Engine gets a Forged 535cc Piston Kit from Hitchcock Motorcycles!

With the Unit Construction Engine becoming the future of Royal Enfield’s engine line up, it was just a matter of time before hop up go-faster bits to improve performance of the the UCE engine made it’s way into the market. Hitchcock Motorcycles of the UK, have for long been developing excellent performance upgrade kits for the Royal Enfield Bullet and this time around, they’ve brought aboard a 535cc forged piston for the Royal Enfield UCE500 engine.

The 535cc high performance Forged Piston has been developed by Wössner pistons in Germany in conjunction with the legendary Swiss motorcycle tuner Fritz Egli and Jochen Sommer. So, you can safely expect a top of a line go-faster bit that works exactly as intended. What the additional capacity of the 535 forget piston will do is, it will increase both power and torque of the UCE500 engine through means of increasing the engine capacity.

Although Hitchcock is not carrying dyno charts to measure the actual power and torque gains with the 535cc forged piston, we expect a power and torque bump up of about 2 Bhp and 4 Nm from the piston with torquier performance all through the rev range.  To install the forged piston, you will have to head to your local machinist and bore out the existing 500cc cylinder to 535cc.

Like all high performance forged engine parts, the forged piston doesn’t come cheap at 140 GBP or about INR 10,000. You can order the 535cc forged piston online here. To save on shipping charges and the resulting duties, a better idea would be to ask someone traveling from the UK to India, to pick up the parts from Hitchcock directly or use UK shipping internally to save on some money.
