This latest initiative from Royal Enfield promises quite a lot as the riding gear and accessories can be tested under trying conditions as Royal Enfield has a factory backed, one-of-it’s-kind hard core touring initiative.
For instance, the riding boots that Royal Enfield will begin selling later in the year are not steel tipped to ensure that wearing these shoes while traveling in security intensive locations like airports doesn’t become a hassle. So, nice attention to detail that. Along with the riding gear, Royal Enfield will also launch a range of accessories like helmets, luggage racks, key chains and even pannier boxes for use on the range of Royal Enfield motorcycles.
While the exact details of the gear that Royal Enfield plans to launch in what appears like a phased manner across it’s Brand Stores in India remain sketchy at the moment, we hope that Royal Enfield prices the RE branded gear affordably as doing otherwise could result in the gear remaining put on showroom shelves like the overpriced leather saddlebags and the large acrylic windshield that Royal Enfield sold as accessories for the AVL engined Royal Enfield Bullet Machismo 350/500.
Also, many after market vendors sell plenty of Royal Enfield branded accessories in the market and it would be interesting to see whether Royal Enfield initiates any legal action against them for usage of the Royal Enfield logo. Plenty of Bulleteers will also prefer Royal Enfield accessories sold directly by the motorcycling firm rather than after market vendors if the quality and price are up to the expectations. For starters, the Royal Enfield Rain Gear with reflective piping is priced at an affordable INR 2,299. So, it looks quite promising indeed.

Royal enfield have not revealed the exact date as of now but speculation is that it will be launched within a 1-2 month. Sales will start with online followed by authorized service centers across the country !!
