Iconic British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has announced its intention to enter the Indian market.
First established in 1902 and now based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, UK, Triumph Motorcycles has in recent years been the fastest growing motorcycle brand in the world. Triumph has appointed Ashish Joshi as its Managing Director for India. Prior to joining Triumph, Ashish was heading the European operations for Royal Enfield and established the company’s business in Europe. He has over 16 years of experience in Asia and Europe.

Steve Sargent, Director of Emerging Markets
Steve is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and the University of Wales College, Cardiff.
Steve first joined Triumph Motorcycles in 1994 in the Purchasing function. In 1999 he relocated to Kuala Lumpur to set up a regional purchasing office.
In 2001 Steve moved over to Thailand to setup Triumph’s first manufacturing facility and since then has been Managing Director for the Thailand operations which comprise of three factories.
Ashish Joshi, Managing Director – India
Ashish received an MBA from London Business School and an engineering degree from National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. He is also an alumnus of IMT Ghaziabad.
Ashish started his career as an Engineer Trainee with Essar Steel and joined Royal Enfield in 1998.
At Royal Enfield he was involved in Sourcing, Sales, and Marketing and Product Management functions before relocating to London in 2003 to set up the business for Royal Enfield in Europe.
Until recently he was heading European operations for Royal Enfield and has hands on experience of market entry and establishment of motorcycle businesses in various countries of Europe and Asia.
